Hydraulic Backfilling

Dusty, liquid and paste-like components are processed to form a filling mortar suitable for pumping in a suspension plant approved under BImSchG. This filler material, for which all the requisite approvals have to be obtained before it can be used, is pumped underground through pipes.
This filling mortar is inserted into the prepared mining chambers at a depth of about 700 meters. After hardening, the filling mortar helps to support the overlying rock.
