GSES’s integrated management system adopts a variety of different approaches to comply with requirements across a number of sectors: quality, safety procedures in relation to mining and waste disposal, industrial safety and energy.
Our quality management system is certified to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015, and ensures the constant monitoring and optimisation of our processes.
GSES conducts extensive investigations and analyses at regular intervals to ensure that the quality of our services is up to scratch. These are conducted by our qualified staff in our in-house laboratory using the very latest analytical methods.
Stringent, systematic controls of incoming goods and acceptance protocols ensure a high level of safety, as attested to by our annual certification as a waste disposal specialist pursuant to the EfbV (Ordinance on Specialised Waste Management Companies). Regular measurements of air quality both above and below ground ensure compliance with all of the relevant critical values – which benefits man and nature alike.
Safeguarding our employees’ health and safety is one of our top priorities. The ‘Sicher mit System’ (‘Systematic Safety’) seal of approval of the professional association for the raw materials and chemical industry (BGRCI) attests to our workplace safety practices.
We are keen to contribute to the continuous and sustainable improvement of our energy efficiency so as to provide lasting protection for the environment, conserve resources, and try to meet our responsibility towards future generations. That is why, in accordance with our duty of care, we have introduced on a mandatory basis a standard-compliant energy management system designed to meet the latest specifications of DIN EN ISO 50001.
Independent external institutes take regular measurements to monitor any potential subsidence at ground level. This is done to provide evidence of rock stability and to ensure that backfilling is having the desired effect. And under the ground, voids are constantly being surveyed, pillar stability is monitored using special measuring techniques, and the quality of backfilling is checked by taking strength measurements. Experienced external specialists are employed for this purpose.
