Central mine rescue team for the South Harz region
The South Harz mine rescue team is a joint body serving the mining companies of the South Harz area. Safety practices for those working underground are governed by statutory mining regulations. The team’s responsibilities include the rescue and recovery of miners following underground accidents, as well as fighting fires in the mines. All members of the rescue team are volunteers who give their services free of charge.
The central mine rescue team recruits its members from Lausitzer und Mitteldeutsche Bergbau-Verwaltungsgesellschaft mbH (LMBV), NDH Entsorgungsbetreibergesellschaft mbH (NDH-E), and Glückauf Sondershausen Entwicklungs- und Sicherungsgesellschaft mbH (GSES), and is based at the following sites:
The members work together to ensure the safety of mining operations in the region, as well as protecting visitors to the show mines at Glasebachstollen, Wimmelburg and Heimkehle.
Because our strength depends on our teamwork!
